Enhancements

Better Control on File Metadata Extraction

The connector UI now provides the Extract Files (Metadata Extraction > Connector Settings) option, which allows you to control the extraction of files during metadata and schema extraction. When this option is not selected, file-level metadata will not be extracted, allowing you to skip the extraction of redundant or unnecessary files during metadata and schema extraction. Select this option to extract file-level metadata. For more information, refer to the Metadata Extraction section in Azure Blob Storage OCF Connector. (AL-20053)

Enhancements

Support for Additional Error Logs

The connector now logs error details for issues while retrieving columns from CSV or Parquet files. This helps troubleshoot column extraction operation issues. (AL-185338)

This change may result in partial success of schema or column extraction as the connector may have filed to retrieve columns from certain CSV or Parquet files. To determine the root cause, download the error report and review the error messages
